SUMMARY:Recovery is Community: Tobacco Use in Behavioral Health
DESCRIPTION:Presented by Tony Klein\, MPA\, NCACII\, & Katie Gassner\, CTTS \nDespite significant progress made in reducing smoking in the general population\, individuals with mental and substance use disorders bear a disproportionate burden of tobacco-related illness\, disability\, and premature death. This training explores the basis for widespread smoking in the recovering community and the bio-psycho-social aspects of tobacco use disorder. The basis of all recovery is hope and a belief that our current circumstances can be improved\, managed\, and overcome.
