SUMMARY:Recovery is Community: Evaluation and Diagnosis of ADD in Adults
DESCRIPTION:Friday\, Mar 10 • 12 pm to 1 pm\nFREE. Register online. \nPresented by Lisa May\, Ph.D. \nThis presentation will review diagnostic criteria for adult ADD diagnoses and review neuropsychological evaluation processes as well as screening tools that can be used. \nLearning Objectives – Upon completion of this session participants will be able to: \n\n· Identify the DSM -5 diagnostic criteria for Attention Deficit Disorder.\n· Identify elements of a neuropsychological evaluation for attention difficulties.\n· Identify some common screening tools that can be helpful in identify possible diagnoses related to attention complaints.\n·Identify at least 3 compensatory strategies to offer to patients that are not medication related.\n\nFree CE credit of 1.0 hour for AMA\, ANCC\, and LSW/LCW/LPC/LMFT will be offered to those who attend. \nRequirements include attendance for the duration of the session and completion of a course evaluation provided at the end of the session.  \nACCREDITATION \nIn support of improving patient care the University of Pittsburgh is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME)\, the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)\, and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the health care team. \nPHYSICIAN (CME) \nThe University of Pittsburgh designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
