DESCRIPTION:Tami Benton\, MD is the Frederick Allen Professor of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.  She is the Psychiatrist-in-Chief and Chair of Psychiatry at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP)\, and Chief of the Division of Child Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania. She is a distinguished fellow of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.  \nDate: Tuesday\, November 30\, 2021\nTime Noon to 1 PM \nAbout the presentation: \nThis presentation will be a discussion focused on suicide and Black youth. Suicide and suicide-related behaviors have been steadily increasing among Black youths. In this presentation\, we will describe trends in suicidal behaviors among Black youths as well as risk and protective factors unique to this population.
