Supporting Providers Who Care for Veterans
The Suicide Risk Management Consultation Program (SRM) offered by VA provides free consultation, support, and resources that promote therapeutic best practices for providers working with Veterans at risk for suicide. Learn how SRM can help you treat Veterans at risk for suicide, request a free consult to address Veteran suicide treatment concerns, and access SRM’s free tools and trainings. Many providers will experience a loss to suicide during their careers. This loss can have profound personal and professional impacts. SRM consultation is available to any provider serving Veterans who would like support surrounding a suicide loss and/or to consult on postvention practices.
Building Better Caregivers
Building Better Caregivers is an online program to help caregivers of Veterans with dementia, memory problems, post-traumatic stress disorder, a serious brain injury or any other serious injury or illness. This online workshop offers 6 weekly self-paced lessons, facilitator guidance, group support and access to an alumni community for program graduates. Joining the program allows you to share your experiences with other caregivers and to give and receive support. Trained leaders guide you in locating resources that will help you become a better caregiver.
